At minimum, a full detail includes an exterior hand wash, oxidation or polish treatment, and a protective wax or sealant. A full package also covers the roof, windows, awning, and interior — vacuum, wipe-down, and surface clean. The exact scope depends on the condition of the van and what you need.
Once or twice a year is a good rule of thumb for most owners — ideally before and after the travel season. If your van lives outside, parks near salt air, or does serious kilometres on dusty roads, more frequent detailing protects the paint and extends the life of seals and surfaces.
